A sterling silver postal stamp dispenser/box. Rectangular-form, beaded and slightly domed hinged lid. Please look and inspect all the photos. Hinge is secure - no play. Lid engraved with script initials M.

" Marked underside: "Sterling" for 925 silver; "925/1000" for silver purity; "T Co P into three lozenges for Tucker & Parkerhurst Co. Numerals "1173" for pattern or manufacturers code. There are scratched four identification letters located over "sterling", left by previous owner. Made in Ogdensburg, NY, ca1890's. 1904 Pictures will tell you more.
